I am so tired.
In other news, it will be my birthday in 22 days. I will be a quarter of a century old. I’m really looking forward to it. My birthday is on Wednesday the 23rd April, and we (me, Tim, Noelle, Melissa … maybe Rosie) are going down to Yamba on Friday the 25th (Anzac Day public holiday). I’m looking forward to seeing the beach, even if it might be a little bit cool by then. I’m looking forward to having BBQs out on the balcony, sitting outside looking out over the lake. I’m also looking forward to perhaps going out one of the nights, depending on what’s on, and also to the markets on Sunday.
Here are some things I’d love to get for my birthday (in no particular order):
- NDS Lite – Still missing my DS. I never got to finish Zelda, or that game where I had a farm and I had made so much progress with one of the girls and I had so many golds etc. Also Animal Crossing… I was just getting the best collection. Now when I go back again, I’m going to have to pull out millions of weeds! I don’t even know if it’s worth it
(of course it’s worth it…) - Portable Harddrive (preferably Western Digital) I’m going to get one eventually, but if I get one for my birthday it just saves me time and money etc. I want a drive that is small like an iPod (a classic, not a nano or anything, because that’d just be ridiculous!)
- Mobile phone – I’m using Tim’s old phone still, and I really want a new one. A Nokia, because that’s what i used since I was a baby and it’s like second nature to me.
- New Boots – I do realise I have bought new boots recently, but I LOVE them! and they can’t just be any old boots. The boots I am looking for are: ankle boots, black suede, fold-over. They can have a small heel, but nothing that would be termed “high”. I’d prefer flat soles. If you see anything resembling this, pleeeease let me know!
- Black ankle socks – preferably the ones with cushiony soles.
I’ll add more when I think of them.
I was today’s April Fool, due to my own gullibility. This morning Tim told me, very seriously, that Michael Jackson had died. Because I hadn’t yet realised it was April Fool’s Day (my brain doesn’t start functioning fully until a couple of hours after I’ve woken up), I was ready to believe this ridiculous story, but I started asking questions and the whole thing unravelled. When I asked “what did he die of?”, Tim responded with “Old people disease”. Which just basically did away with any credibility his story may have had. Then he told me it was April Fool’s Day.
Anthony tried to convince me that he had decided to become a priest. He was almost successful in this attempt, purely because of his continual show of indignation that I would joke about such a serious decision. Any time you act like I’m offending you by not believing you, it’s almost enough to completely convince me (or at least get me to pretend I believe you).
Well done. I’m not going to congratulate you too much, because I’m a fairly easy person to fool without trying.
TIRED!
Night everyone.
